The meaning of P.I.E. and the purpose of Proof of Writing

My son recently asked me if I knew what pie stood for. Thinking it was from one of his Dog Man books, I guessed something stupid like Piggy’s Indoor Empire. He thought my answer was so dumb he didn’t even ask me to guess again. He just went ahead and told me that the letters stood for persuade, inform, and entertain.

“Oh, like what you’re supposed to do when you write,” I said.

“Yeah! How come you didn’t say that then!” he replied.

The truth is I’d never heard of P.I.E., but it makes perfect sense. In fact it makes so much sense that I’ve decided the purpose of this website will be to do exactly that. To persuade people to see new perspectives, to inform them about new developments or ideas, and to entertain them with stories that make you want to read more.

Over the next few months my goal is to discover what I have to offer that people will find valuable. Someone once said the only way to become a billionaire is by doing billions of win-win transactions. I don’t expect a blog to make me a billionaire, but I do like win-win transactions, and I hope I can leverage eCash and PayButton to help me create as many win-win transactions as possible.

Because the way I see it, if I can add just a little bit of value to your life and do it enough times, who knows what all those increments could add up to in the end?
