In the spirit of using eCash as a medium of exchange and the eCash ecosystem as a monetary system, I want to find business opportunities to trade in XEC. However, I am not a developer and don’t have ecommerce set up myself to trade good and services for XEC. So, what to do, what to do?
Well, my skillset is in research and advisory. Basically, I learn a ton of information about things and translate that into useful information to help others make better decisions and take better actions. As part of that skillset, I’ve created a ton of content in my career. So, it makes sense that my best way to contribute would be as a content creator: books, videos, articles, and other materials to help people. My main profession is advising executives, which doesn’t exactly translate to anything that the average person would need content-wise, but my skillset is transferrable in being able to learn and teach anything pretty quickly. With that, there are two ventures that I have going that can involve eCash transactions: my book, The Meaning of Life: A guide to finding your life’s purpose, and my newly created YouTube channel for educational eCash videos, I’m so XECited!
Unfortunately, I don’t use WordPress for my own site and so can’t do paywalled blog posts for my yourmeaninginlife.com site, nor can I sell my book for eCash without copyright infringement issues. I do post my eCash content on this site for XEC, but I don’t have any books yet on eCash to sell (if I create one, I will figure out how to sell it for XEC). So, with all of my ways to provide goods and services for eCash exhausted at the moment, that turns to how I can spend eCash for goods and services.
As much as I wish I could buy anything I get on Amazon with eCash, that’s probably years away. So, I’m stuck with people who take it. Because vendors are few (but coming), we are left with individuals. As Cain has shown, there are plenty of people willing to participate in community activities for eCash rewards. His work with proofofwriting.com, POW token, and his X account has inspired me to try this method of using XEC: airdrop rewards for community support with my two ventures.
Introducing two tokens:
- MEANING: A token that I will use to airdrop rewards based on community marketing helping me hit thresholds for thresholds my book hits for ratings, reviews, YouTube/Rumble subscribers, and even sales.
- XECITED: A token that I will use to airdrop rewards based on community marketing helping me hit thresholds for subscribers, views, likes, hours watched, and comments.
Two notes before continuing: Rewards are for the community helping me to attain these outcomes; it is against the terms of service for Amazon and other outlets to pay a person to give their own review—especially a positive one. It is also against my personal ethics to do so. Therefore, I am stating clearly here that this is paying for marketing services rendered in the form of spreading information (e.g., social media posts or other word of mouth), asking people to give a rating, review, or subscription, like, comment, etc. for my two ventures and NOT for you giving your own review. I will not pay for reviews, only for marketing that helps me elicit real ratings and reviews that do not get deleted by Amazon, YouTube, etc. as spam. Secondly, I reserve the right to change these terms at any time—I do not have unlimited funds and also might accidentally incentivize unanticipated spam, bot, or other negative behaviors and have to stop—and to scrutinize any outcome for how it was obtained. I will not pay for bot farms, AI-generated reviews, any activity that these services filter out as spam, or other outcome that was obtained through unethical means that were not real people giving their willing, honest input or actually consuming the streaming videos. I appreciate the support, but any monetary incentive risks unethical means to attaining the reward. I hope this is clear: market to others and secure real participation, and I will reward those results. Please do not violate any terms of service and do not violate these conditions or your conscience for money.
With these two tokens, I am going to check on approximately a monthly basis (though feel free to alert me if a number hits and I haven’t seen it yet) as to the following metrics and airdrop amounts based on the numbers:
(Note: The current price of XEC is around ~0.000015 USD; if the price of XEC spikes to 0.00003 USD or above, I will adjust the amounts down to reflect the USD amount at 0.000030—e.g., a 1,000,000 XEC airdrop if the price jumped to 0.0001 would be 300,000 XEC; it will be the same promised dollar value, just a lower XEC amount. This is just so I don’t promise today to airdrop tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of XEC in the future if the price increases by 20x)
I’m So XECited! YouTube Channel
I will airdrop to XECITED holders (based on the percentage of the total number of tokens held by anyone other than the minting wallet) the following amounts* for the following milestones:
- 500 Subscribers: 2,500,000 XEC (or $75 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(note: subscriber count must not spike and plummet) - 1,000 Subscribers: 2,500,000 XEC (or $75 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(for clarity, that’s 5,000,000 XEC total: 2.5M for the first 500 and another 2.5M for the second 500) - First 1,000 hours watched: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- First 3,000 hours watched: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- First 10,000 views: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- First 1,000,000 impressions: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- First 1,000 comments*: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(*not counting spam comments or scam comments—please say something useful) - (for fun) If the 11/15 pre-consensus launch livestream gets 1,000 viewers during the livestream (not after it ends from rewatches), I’ll airdrop 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower).
The Meaning of Life Book
I will airdrop to MEANING holders (based on the percentage of the total number of tokens held by anyone other than the minting wallet) the following amounts* for the following milestones:
- 100 Total Amazon Ratings (number at the time of posting: 63): 5,000,000 XEC (or $150 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(Note: Ratings must remain posted for 30 days—i.e., Amazon nor the rater may retract them) - 200 Total Ratings: 5,000,000 XEC (or $150 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(Ratings must remain for 30 days) - 100 Total Amazon Reviews (number at the time of posting: 52): 5,000,000 XEC (or $150 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- 200 Total Amazon Reviews: 5,000,000 XEC (or $150 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- 100 Total GoodReads Ratings: 2,500,000 XEC (or $75 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- 200 Total GoodReads Ratings: 2,500,000 XEC (or $75 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
- 1,000 Amazon Kindle eBook Sales: 25,000,000 XEC (or $750 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower) (yes, you read that correctly)
(Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/47EtEDW) - 1,000 Followers of the @LifetheBook X account: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(Link: https://x.com/LifetheBook) - 1,000 Subscribers to the @LifetheBook YouTube channel: 1,000,000 XEC (or $30 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower)
(Link: https://www.youtube.com/@lifethebook) - Bonus: I have a Summary version of the book (Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/4niRTwc) that I’ll airdrop 2,500,000 XEC (or $75 USD equivalent in XEC, whichever is lower) for 100 ratings for as well.
*again, all XEC amounts are good as long as XEC stays under 0.00003 USD; above that price, I’ll adjust to the equivalent dollar value of the listed XEC at a price of 0.00003 USD per XEC
Yes, this means that I may end up airdropping XEC valued at well over $1,000 USD, and note that neither YouTube Channel is monetized and the book is a net loss for me counting the web site and other expenses. So, I’m currently paying out of pocket with no profit for social proof that these digital media are useful so that they may gain traction and revenue in the future. And, for the XECited channel, it’s in your self-interest as a holder to get the word out so that more people know about and buy XEC. I’ll only profit myself if this effort eventually gets me monetized on YouTube or leads to additional book sales on Amazon.
The only catch? You have to hold some of the tokens to receive the airdrop. You just need to buy any amount so that you are part of the airdrop, but it’s paid out on the ratio of your holdings to total holdings (of all addresses minus the minter’s). As of the time of this post, you can buy tokens on the Agora platform for 1,000 XEC per token (currently, it’s about 3 cents to buy the minimum amount Agora allows of ~2.5 tokens given the sell order I put up—though, that minimum may change with the November 15th update). So, if you buy 2.5 tokens and that’s 1% of holdings, you would get 50,000 XEC when a 5,000,000 XEC airdrop reward hits. Let’s be clear, though: if you do the math, I’ll be spending much, much more than I earn from the 1-cent-per-token token price. The token is just to make sure that the airdrops go to real supporters who took the step to indicate their support, and it automates things like address aggregation so I can do the airdrops instead of sending XEC one address at a time.
So, what can you do to help me hit these thresholds?
- You can get other people to rate or review the book or subscribe to the channels.
- You can share posts or videos from the X account or channels.
- You can like or comment on videos so the algorithm shares them with more people.
- You can simply tell people about them.
- Anything else that helps hit these numbers that is not unethical (no bots, no mass spam to uninterested parties, no AI-generated slop for reviews or comments).
I appreciate your help in advance and will be more than happy to airdrop XEC for any and all of these targets! If it does well, I will likely add new milestones; if they prove to be too ambitious, I may add more incremental ones for more frequent airdrops so that it’s more fun for participants.
For proof that I have and will honor these airdrops, I have already completed one 50-subscriber airdrop for 500,000 XEC and posted the proof via Transaction ID on X: https://x.com/NateNovosel/status/1973911432115749000 (and I will make a note to announce any milestone met on the X platform in a similar fashion).
Note: This does not represent a legally binding contract and is not a sweepstakes or lottery system of any kind; it is a direct XEC airdrop reward for supporters in the community who help me achieve my desired marketing results, the same as I would pay Facebook, Pinterest, X, Amazon, or YouTube for advertising that let to impressions, clicks, etc. This is simply a fun reward system for supporters, as I want to use XEC for something useful and valuable, and above companies obviously wouldn’t accept XEC as payment for advertising. Only purchase tokens if you wish to be part of the community, and only buy what you feel comfortable with. I am happy to buy back any purchased tokens if you did not receive any rewards from them yet, as this is meant to just help me track supporters and not primarily meant to generate revenue (the price is required to prevent bots from acquiring millions for free). Once you receive rewards, however, you may resell them on the market but my buyback is not guaranteed (to avoid exploitation via buying tokens, getting rewards, and then asking me to buy them back). Terms subject to change based on factors like the price of XEC and, most importantly, any evidence of malicious behavior to obtain rewards inappropriately. Please comment, share, and encourage subscriptions respectfully and responsibly. I do not wish to accidentally cause a bot army to push products like snake-oil salemen.
🔥 2 unlocks and counting...
I wish you the best!
