Nobody knows XEC, but they should.

I look around crypto today and, while it may seem like everything is fine, to me it feels like it’s lost a bit of its magic. Its lore.

In my opinion, one of the greatest things Bitcoin had going for it was its lore. I consider the origin story of Bitcoin and its mysterious creator one of the greatest stories in human history.

Someone calling himself Satoshi Nakamoto creates Bitcoin, sticks around for a couple of years to help it grow, then disappears forever.

No other chain comes close in terms of lore, and most of them have no lore at all (unless you count venture capitalists dumping on retail lore).

But if the story of Bitcoin were to end with it being nothing more than another asset class for the rich to store their wealth in, wouldn’t you say it was all a waste? Like it was all much ado for nothing?

For me, what I’ve always dreamed of is a world where we use Bitcoin as money, as cash for the internet, and in doing so we end up changing civilization as we know it. The way we govern ourselves, the kind of businesses we build, how we relate to and connect with one another around the world, all of it changed for the better.
