Crypto Graduation

Reading Time: < 1 minutes

Three months from now it will be exactly four years since the day I bought my first Bitcoins. The truth is, I really had no idea what I was buying at the time, let alone what a profound impact it would have on my life.

As I approach my four year anniversary, it also means that I’ll have soon completed one full halving cycle. Maybe that’s why I’m reminded of college graduation. Not only because they each spanned different four year periods of my life, but because in both cases I came out a totally different person than who I was when I started.

I remember in college I read a ton of new books and made new friends that helped me see the world in a different light. I can say the exact same thing about crypto.

More than anything what I appreciate most about these last few years is that I’ve found my passion again. I remember coming out of college believing I would one day make a difference in the world. Thanks to crypto I can say I’m feeling that same kind of optimism today.

I obviously don’t know what the future holds, but I’m excited to find out. And while I still have a few months of “school” left before I officially graduate, hopefully I pass all my final exams and then it’s off to the real world where I can take everything I’ve learned and build something others find valuable.

And for those of you just getting started on your crypto journey, I wish you the best of luck and hope you have as much fun as I did.
